Leadership coach

I work with ambitious driven leaders who want to go to the next level in their careers or businesses. They want more purpose and meaning in their work and lives, they want to have more of an impact and make more of a contribution.

To do this I offer 1:1 coaching, team coaching, skills training workshops, in situ coaching for exceptional leaders, personality profiling and culture change consultancy.

Coaching for individuals

1:1 coaching

(4 – 6 months, two hour session, every month)

Choose 1:1 coaching if you’re in a leadership position and want to address skills deficits, feel more in control at work and identify and attain your career goals. You’ll:

    • Learn your core values and key ‘motivated’ skills
    • Understand the impact your strengths and weaknesses have on your team
    • Identify goals that you and your manager want you to achieve
    • Get an action-focused plan packed with measurable objectives and regular reviews

In situ coaching for exceptional leaders

(Three sessions + one observation session)

Perfect for you if you’re a confident senior leader who wants accelerated learning and direct input on particular behaviours and interactions. This is a four stage process which can be done as a stand-alone or as part of your 1:1 coaching programme.

      • We work together to identify the specific skills and behaviours you want to improve
      • I observe you in the workplace interacting with your colleagues
      • Following a review of my observations we design action points to address relevant behaviours
      • We meet again a few weeks later for a review

My Process

Which training is best for you and your team?

Know you need training, but not sure which? We’ll start with a conversation about your business covering your history, where you are now, and your vision for the future. We will then identify your core business needs and what’s stopping you reaching your vision. Then we’ll discuss whether 1:1 coaching, team coaching, skills training, or my culture change programme will be most effective for you.

1:1 coaching – my process

Before I start coaching any of your employees we will have a session to determine whether we’re a good fit for working together.

If so, I can design a 360 degree evaluation or personality profiling tool for each employee which will highlight strengths and weaknesses and the impact these have on others at work.

Next we will set each very specific measurable goals and objectives all of which will be agreed with their line manager.

1:1 individual coaching will typically take place for two hours, once a month. This can be done face to face, on the phone or via Skype.

Half way through the coaching programme, we’ll have an evaluation with each team member and their managers where we will track progress against pre-agreed objectives.

You’ll make the changes though coaching; understanding why some behaviours and habits don’t stick – and learning the secret behind making sure your new ones do.Using Emotional Intelligence theory and Somatics (meaning ‘of the body’) we’ll anchor your new thoughts and behaviours in your body so we get lasting change – not quick fixes that only last a couple of months.

Whatever you want to achieve I will help you identify your main strengths and development needs based on your key skills. Together we’ll create an action and accountability-focused plan to encourage you and your employees to improve specific skills and practices in a positive and sustainable way. I work with the Hogan Assessments framework to help you hire the right people, develop key talent and evaluate leadership potential. Hogan has 30 years’ experience reducing turnover and increasing productivity. My background

With a background in the fast-paced world of TV production I understand the pressure you’re under every day. I’ve been there.

I know you’re only as good as your last idea; that clients always come first (so where does that leave you and your staff?) and that your whole team is too busy battling through every day to take a step back and address the issues that keep you all awake at night.

It was to help people just like you (and me) that I first started my training with the Coaches Training Institute. Added to the hands-on experience and management experience I gained working for the BBC for 14 years, since 2008 I’ve been doing professional development training in organisation and relationship systems, advanced neuroscience coaching, the Hogan Personality Inventory, cultural transformation, 360 feedback delivery, and leadership embodiment training. I’m a Professional Certified Coach (PCC) with the International Coach Federation (ICF) and adhere to its code of ethics. I believe in the transformative power of coaching so have my own coach and undergo regular supervision.
